Dr. Brian Higgins graduated with honours from NUI Galway in 2010. He trained in Paediatrics receiving a Diploma in Children’s Health before starting his General Practice training which he completed in 2016.
He has a passion for health promotion and disease prevention so you may see him on TV3 speaking about topical medical issues.
His specialist interests include:

- Health Promotion
- Osteoporosis and Clinical Densitometry

Dr Browne has many years experience in General practice both in Ireland and Canada. Her clinical interests include Care of the Elderly, Dermatology, Child Health and Occupational Medicine
Her academics interests are around Medical Education and she has held academic appointments more recently at the University of Toronto.

Dr Siobhan Carruthers graduated from the University of Cambridge, UK in 1988.
She has a special interest in Women’s Health and medical education, and also works as a Lecturer in Women’s Health in NUI Galway.

Dr Dursteler, born in Switzerland, is a graduate from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She obtained her MB, ChB degree in 1991. Her post-graduate qualifications in Ireland include MICGP, DCH, DRCOG, LFOM and CCD. She has been working as a GP in Galway since 2009.
Her special areas of interest are:
Woman’s Health
She has an Certificate in Contraception and an Advanced Certificate in Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCS) such as Mirena, Jaydess and Kyleena Intra Uterine Systems as well as Implanon. She does Menopause Management and has a certificate in Menopause Care.
DXA Scanning
She is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD) and is a member of the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD).
Occupational Medicine
She completed the Licentiate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (LFOM), Royal College of Physicians Ireland, in 2011. She is also a Road Safety Authority (RSA) approved trainer for the Driver Certificate in Professional Competence (CPC) in Drivers Health and Safety.
